Privacy Policy

Prep-to-go ("we", "our", or "the app") is a college application management platform operated by Anchored Innovations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using Prep-to-go, you agree to the practices described here.

Prep-to-go is designed so that each family account is private by default: the data you and your linked family members create is visible only within your own account.

Account information: your name, email address, selected role (student or parent), and role-based profile details you choose to add (such as school information, test scores, extracurricular activities, and awards).

Application content you create or upload: tasks, deadlines, essays, scholarship entries, notes, comments, and messages exchanged between family members on your account.

Documents you upload: transcripts, recommendations, test scores, financial documents, and other files you add to your account. Uploaded documents are stored privately and are only accessible within your account.

Payment status: whether your account is on the free or paid plan, along with limited payment references (such as a customer ID or checkout session ID) returned by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.

Support and feedback: if you contact us or submit in-app feedback, we receive the content of that message and your email address.

To operate the app: display your dashboard, tasks, deadlines, documents, and messages; sync data between parents and linked students; and enforce the limits of your plan.

To provide AI-powered features: parts of the app can generate essay ideas, outlines, feedback, document summaries, and scholarship information. To do this, your relevant content may be processed by our AI service providers solely on your behalf and is not used by those providers to train models for other customers.

To process payments: plan upgrades are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We share only the information Stripe needs to create and manage your subscription and to confirm payment status back to the app.

To communicate with you: send invitations to family members, transactional emails related to your account or payments, and responses to support requests.

To keep the app safe: detect abuse, prevent unauthorized access, and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information or your uploaded documents to anyone.

We do not use your family's application content for advertising, and we do not show ads inside the app.

We do not share your individual documents, essays, or messages with other users of the platform — they are accessible only within your own family account (and, when required, by a limited set of authorized staff for support, security, and abuse prevention).

Stripe (payments): processes subscription payments securely. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

AI service providers: power features such as essay feedback and document summaries, processing your content only to provide the feature you requested.

Email delivery: invitation and notification emails are sent through our email delivery provider.

Hosting and infrastructure: the app runs on managed cloud infrastructure that stores your data on our behalf.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service to us. We do not permit them to sell or reuse your information.

Prep-to-go is intended for students preparing for college and their parents or guardians. Accounts and data are managed within a family account, and parents can see the tasks, essays, and scholarship activity on their linked student's account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us at support@anchoredinnovations.com and we will delete the account and its data.

You can delete your entire account, including your data, from within the app's settings. Deleting an account removes its tasks, essays, scholarships, documents, messages, and profile information.

You can also delete individual items (a task, essay, document, or message) at any time from within the app.

If you prefer, or if you need help with deletion, email us at support@anchoredinnovations.com and we will process the request for you.

Some records may be retained for a short period in backups or as required by law (for example, transaction records related to payments), after which they are deleted.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on managed cloud infrastructure with access controls. Uploaded documents are stored in private storage and are served only through authenticated, expiring access links.

Access within the app is protected by login sessions, and sensitive operations (account linking, deletion, payments) are validated on our servers. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and review our security practices regularly.

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, or to request a copy of your data, contact us at support@anchoredinnovations.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before the changes take effect. The date below reflects the last update.
